Fart Jokes for Kids: 4 Funny Books + Farting FAQ!

Ah, yes. Fart jokes for kids. I’ll never forget the first time I heard one. (A fart, not a joke…)

It was back in fourth grade, and my buddy Mike was at my house. We had a pretty good friendship—he was someone I could watch movies with and not get bored—but I don’t know, something about that day made me nervous.

At some point, Mike ended up sitting on the couch next to me. He was a little sweaty and kind of flustered. I hadn’t noticed, but he was clutching his stomach.

I asked him what was wrong.

He didn’t say anything, just looked away. I asked him again.

He whispered, “I think I’m gonna fart.”

And then it happened. Right in front of me, Mike let out a whopper of a fart. And it was loud! It sounded like a dinosaur roaring. I couldn’t help but laugh—it was so gross and funny at the same time!

Mike didn’t get mad, though. He started laughing, too. It made me laugh even harder. Eventually, he stood up and went to the bathroom. When he came back, he was red in the face, but he was laughing, too.

To this day, Mike and I still laugh about that fart.

But now you’re probably wondering about the title of this article. We’re talking about books with fart jokes, right?

Well, sort of.

The thing is, there are two types of Fart jokes for kids. The first kind is the kind that makes you laugh—the kind that makes your stomach hurt, the kind that makes you want to hold your arm over your mouth. The second kind is the kind where the fart jokes for kids is kinda dorky. It’s usually an old uncle or a dad, and it’s usually the dad who’s the biggest dork. These are more commonly referred to as “dad jokes” and aren’t especially funny.

I’m going to concentrate on fart joke books specifically meant for kids. And I’ve got a bonus Fart FAQ (You can’t imagine how much fun I’ve had saying that today while writing this article!)… Enjoy these fart jokes for kids and more…

Family Friendly Fart FAQ!

Here I answer some common questions about farts, farting, and farters in a family friendly way. It’s a Fantastic Fart FAQ… If you enjoyed the fart jokes for kids in the books above, keep reading.

Can a fart knock you out?

No, not really. It can smell really bad, but it can’t knock you out. The amount of force a far would need to knock you out is infinitely bigger than the flight velocity of an African Swallow. (That’s a Monty Python reference for those wondering!)

Is it OK to fart in front of others?

Yes. It’s normal. Everyone farts. It’s just a thing that happens. You should say excuse me and not try to intentionally fart in front of people, but accidentally tooting one or two quick ones when you don’t mean to isn’t a big deal.

What do you do if you accidentally fart in front of someone?

You say “Excuse me” and act totally normal again. If it was a little one, you can pretend like it wasn’t anything, but if it was a big one, you can say sorry. If you really feel like you’re going to keep farting, you can go to another room until it stops.

How do you fart silently in public?

You don’t. Unless you’re super skilled. If you want to fart silently, you should try doing it after a burp. This doesn’t always work, and I haven’t actually tested it personally, but it sounds like a funny idea to try. (Reminder to not just trust everyone’s random internet advice – even about farts!)

Should you hold a fart in?

No, you can just fart. If you’re holding in a fart, it could be dangerous. The air needs to get out, and if it doesn’t, it could cause you to have a stomach ache and for the fart to come out your lungs – i.e. your mouth. That wouldn’t be too cool, so don’t try to hold it in.

How often do girls fart?

Girls fart all the time. I’m not sure how often they do, but they do fart a lot. On average, according to my sources, girls fart around 5 to 20 times a day. If the number is lower or higher, please seek medical attention.

Why do some people think it’s gross that girls fart?

I don’t know if this is true or not, but I’ve heard some people think it’s gross that girls fart because they think it’s nasty or gross. However, everyone farts. So even if it is gross, it’s completely normal.

Can you fart in your sleep?

Yes. You can fart in your sleep if you’re dreaming about farts or if it’s late in the night and you’re tired. If you wake up in the middle of the night and hear a loud fart, don’t be alarmed. It’s just your body letting out some gas.

Do girls fart less or more than boys?

I don’t know if this is true, but I’ve heard that people say girls fart less than boys. I don’t know how much less, but if you can find out please tell me. I really want to know!

Do guys fart more than girls?

On average, yes, guys fart more. But that doesn’t mean it’s right or fair.

Do dogs fart?

Yes, they do. Dogs fart a lot more than cats, too. (No scientific evidence on that one, I’m afraid!)

Why do I fart when I laugh?

You might fart when you’re laughing because of nerves and your body’s reaction to laughter. When gas is trapped in your tummy, you laugh, then the gas suddenly has an escape route, so it comes out.

Isn’t it kind of mean that people laugh when someone farts?

I don’t think it’s mean. It’s more just funny, and everyone can think of a time that someone farted and it was funny. (I know it’s gross, but it is true!) laughed. It doesn’t hurt to laugh. It’s just natural.

Is it rude to fart in public?

If you’re in a public place and fart, just say excuse me. If it’s a quick one, it’s not rude, but if it’s one that smells super bad, that would be rude if you didn’t make an effort to get to a more secluded place to let it rip.

What should you do if you fart in public?

You should say excuse me. That’s it. Really, that’s all you need to do.

What should you do if someone else farts in public?

Don’t make a big deal about it. Farting is natural and as long as it wasn’t done purposefully, you should not make a big deal about it.

Is it gross that you fart?

No, it’s not gross. Everyone does it. You might get a stomach ache if you hold it in for too long, but that’s about it.

Should you tell your friends when you fart?

It depends on your friend. I would say it’s OK if you want to tell them, but if they’re grossed out by farts, a funny story about an embarrassing fart might make them uncomfortable. You can always refer them to this page, though.
